Q What made you become a property partner?
I’m a marketeer, I love people, I love learning about others and what they’re looking for in a property. I’m a problem solver, and I’m also a people pleaser… therefore I get so much pleasure from helping other people and by combining all of my skills it allows me to be a great property partner for my clients.
Q What do you love and/or recommend for people living in or moving into the area?
I love the ability to be so close to shops, restaurants, and cafes, whilst also being able to be so close to nature. There are so many walks and beautiful footpaths to explore. Having two young children the assortment of Parks available from Hutton to Hoole are amazing and we spend many a weekend venturing through them. The Brickcroft in Longton makes me so happy & every time I visit the nature reserve I am, as cheesy as it sounds, so grateful it’s on our doorstep.
The properties vary so much across the villages, I like running and I’m always shocked when I discover a new unique property I’ve not seen before or noticed (or sold). You get to see much more beauty when you run opposed to driving.
The communities are fantastic, and everyone seems to know everyone in each village. There are fantastic coffee shops, gift shops, gyms, pubs and restaurants. Family sporting is important with Football clubs, Rugby clubs, bowling, cricket and much more.
All the villages from Hutton to Hesketh Bank have a semi-rural feel with great accessibility to motorways and train stations it’s perfect for commuting to visit family or working in the city, if you work from home, are retired or look after a young family the amount of country walks, public footpaths, canal walks, gorgeous parks and natural beauty on your doorstep is phenomenal.
Q What is your dream home if you’re not already living in it?
I’d love to live by the sea; however, I currently live in Much Hoole and because I love what I do & where I live, I think I will have to deal with not living by the sea and get my beach fix on holiday 😉
My dream home is a converted barn with lots of space internally and a huge garden, I want lots of light, a massive entertaining kitchen and family room, my husband and I love hosting and parties, so I’d like it to flow into an amazing outdoor space. I really, really want an American style porch to sit out snuggled with blankets even when it is raining. I want my own dressing room and a crafts room to do my painting, and lots of space for my children to enjoy.
My eldest boy (nearly 7) wants a horse by the time he is 9 so I best get cracking with this dream home and throw a stable in the mix too with a sand paddock!
Q what’s your best tip for people looking to sell their home?
It has got to be a really simple tip, a CLEAN, DECLUTTERED property. The importance of this is phenomenal and makes such a difference. Another tip, as I can’t decide upon just one, is to look at your property as if you are a buyer… go into each area room of your home and ask, ‘is this what I’d like to see?’ If there’s anything you’d improve, do it. First impressions really do count!
