It was in the year 2000 that MovingWorks Managing Director, Georgina Cox, first established the business. As a solicitor she had witnessing the poor service and high fees that many of her clients had experienced with local agents in the area. When she next came to move home and had the same substandard experience, she decided that it was time to do something about it.
“When I founded MovingWorks, my aim was to provide home-movers with a superior service that they could trust in. I also wanted to bring a more personal touch to the whole process so that clients felt supported and valued throughout their move.
“Over two decades later, that philosophy remains the same. Our forward-thinking approach has driven us to embrace new technologies, develop new sales models and create more flexible and cost-effective property marketing solutions; all because we want to make the moving experience the very best it can be.”
Today, MovingWorks is not only an established name in the North West of England but has become a truly family business. Since 2008, Georgina has been joined by her son, Mark, as Sales Director. A graduate of Lancaster business school, Mark has played an integral role in driving innovation within the business.
