Although we can’t make insurance sound interesting, we may as well try. It is insurance awareness day after all!

Insurance is an easy thing to forget about, which is why insurance awareness day is celebrated each year. From car insurance, to life insurance, to home insurance and much more, these polices were created to offer a layer of protection from unfortunate events.

The earliest examples of insurance law date back to 1750 BC, when Babylonian sailing merchants practiced the Code of Hammurabi (a collection of 282 rules and laws established to set standards for commercial interactions.) The first examples of property insurance as we know it today came after the great fire of London devoured 13,000 houses.
